Connecting Classrooms Through Global Learning Programme:

Funding for On-line and Face-to-face Global Partnerships:

This is the last chance to take part in this fantastic programme in its current form with projects taking place over the Autumn Term.

Schools can apply for grant funding to support their online collaboration and global learning with new or existing partners in the following countries:

For virtual projects, funds can be spent on: CPD, supply cover, project work, dissemination of impact/celebrations and overseas communication costs (travel not included) and applicants will have flexibility on how that amount is spent across these eligible costs. Schools in the UK must be linked with an equal number of schools in a participating country overseas and are required to implement a collaborative pupil project linked to the Sustainable Development Goals. Schools can also apply for funding for face-to-face visits (although travel is obviously not currently possible).

There are lots of FREE and easy resources / project templates to use and support throughout the application process and beyond.

We have lots of colleagues in Nepal and other parts of the world who are particularly keen to work with UK schools!

The last application deadline is 14th June

The government has now launched the Turing Scheme to provide funding for schools, FE and HE. This will enable schools to apply for funding to run joint projects and to visit partner schools anywhere in the world.
This is part of the government’s “levelling up” agenda and they particularly want to encourage schools to involve disadvantaged groups.

Travel will be covered, plus £53 towards daily subsistence plus £315 organisation fee per person.

Visits must take place between September 2021 and August 2022.  So far, the programme is “for one year only(Vicky Gough, British Council).
